Hiddenmenu

Installed f 16 rc5 and I still get a menu at boot up to select f 16 or recovery. Is it possible to hide this menu. Same situation with previous versions. No other os installed on hdd.

Re: Hiddenmenu

You can change the grub timeout to 0. In the file /etc/default/grub there needs to be a line that reads
PHP Code:
GRUB_TIMEOUT=
If the line is there edit it. If the line doesn't exist add it. In either case, after you make the change you need to run
PHP Code:
grub2-mkconfig -/boot/grub2/grub.cfg
When you reboot it should boot straight into Fedora.

Re: Hiddenmenu

If you still want to be able to switch the OS (dual-boot):
Code:
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=$seconds    # $seconds should be a number ;)
and if you want to see a countdown:
Code:
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=false
