Fedora 16 Final Test Compose 3 Available Now!

As per the Fedora 16 schedule [1], Fedora 16 Final Release Candidate 1
should have been composed at this point. However, all blocker bugs have
not been addressed, so we are sending out a Fedora 16 Final Test Compose
3 (TC3) with all currently available fixes for testing instead. Please
see the following pages for download links (including delta ISOs) and
testing instructions. Serverbeach1 is still available as a mirror (but
with approximately a 1 hour lag behind dl), so if you are getting a slow
download, try replacing "dl" with "serverbeach1" in the download URL.

No, not necessarily. Go/no-go is Tuesday, and we can complete validation in under 24 hours in an emergency.

whats the status of glibc? Bugs fixed in it yet?

I'm fully up and running TC3 on a new Dell Inspiron i3-2310, and so far no major hiccups.
SElinux and several other major errors (no boot problems) seem to have been fixed. The only hardware issue is with my touchpad not being 100% functional. Not a big deal, as I use a mouse and run a bash script to disable it while I type.

think i might download the 64bit LiveCD but hold off installing it till the final

I really thought I ran into a new challenging networking bug this morning, but after much digging.. then frustration.. I grabbed a liveUSb key w/ Ubuntu 11.10 and booted from it to try and recreate the issue on another disto. Everything pointed to a hardware issue with my new Inspiron 15R. Ubuntu's NetworkManager complained that my laptop's hardware switch was turned Off. So.. instinctively i flipped my Dell every which way looking for a slide switch like on my HP laptop... and found nothing. (??) Then i saw it!! Dell's [F2] function key toggles the wifi hardware 0/1.

#$$%& what a friggin' numb-skull am I!! I overlooked the obvious... so now I going with excuse
that it was all a "function of my age!"

There!! another problem successfully solved.

glibc was dealt with on Thursday, the glibc fix and rebuild is in TC3 already.
