[SOLVED] dual-booting misconfigured

I am doing a fresh dual-boot install of Windows 7 and Fedora 15. I got Windows installed, but left the default size for the boot partition to 100 MB, and updated. Then I got Fedora installed. I spent all day in Fedora performing many tweaks, installs, etc. Then I decided to go into Windows and do the same, but it wouldn't boot. Only Fedora booted. I went into Fedora and used GParted to remove the WinSys partition and the WinBoot partition, and re-created them, 2048 MB for Boot (I know, it sounds excessive, but I don't want this to happen again), and the remaining non-used portion of my drive (~78 GB on a 150 GB drive) for Windows System, and anything else I want to throw there.

Now, Fedora doesn't boot. How do I solve this? I didn't so much as highlight any Fedora partitions during the second Windows installation, so I know I didn't touch them.

If you ditched the original boot partition, and created a new one, I think you're going to need to re-install GRUB -- and perhaps a new kernel. When you trashed the first one, it deleted your fedora kernel booting info right along with it.

Windows 7 installer installs a boot partition. This being the case, do I need to create a boot partition when installing Fedora 15? Also, if I use the one boot partition for Windows 7 and Fedora, how big should I make it?

Well ... that's what I get for making assumptions. You can take everything I know about Windows 7 and hide it under a confused smiley.

If possible, pop a liveCD in (F15 would work, or Puppy 5.01 or similar) and run either fdisk from a terminal, or just run Gparted again, but don't change anything. Just list the partitions, their file systems, and contents here. If you're a GUI sort of a guy like I am, a screenshot of gparted showing the entire gparted window would be good.

Shout it from the rooftops! I have just spent the entirety of this last week trying to get a fully functional dual-boot configuration of Windows 7 and Fedora 15, and I have finally found a solution here.
