Lightbulb Watch Youtube/Vimeo videos with good performance!

Problem: The Adobe Flash Plugin for Linux is mediocre at best which can be a problem if you like to watch videos online through Flash players on sites like YouTube or Vimeo.

Solution: Replace the flash player in Firefox with Totem!

*NOTE: Uses non-free packages, you will need RPMFusion in your repositories*
*DISCLAIMER: I do not maintain the user script in this guide and take no responsibility for it*

Step 1: Install required packages
Code:
su -c 'yum install firefox totem totem-mozplugin gstreamer-ffmpeg'
Step 2: Install GreaseMonkey and ViewTube Userscript

Install GreaseMonkey for Firefox available from Mozilla's Add-on database restart Firefox and install ViewTube

Step 3: Enjoy smooth streaming video in Linux!

Simply because there's a limit to how many links I can put in one post.

Or use Youtube's HTML5 player (although that doesn't work for all movies).
It is actually quite a nice solution you've found!

The problem I find with YouTube's HTML5 player is that I still seem to get poor performance oddly enough. You can still use the WebM format with this User Script but I find MP4 works the smoothest for me.

This script allows me to watch YouTube videos on my Atom processor in HQ smoothly so I thought it's worth sharing.

Also this works with Vimeo too.

The vlc-mozilla plugin works pretty nicely too!
I don't even know why I thought I needed the flash plugin.

As far as I found he vlc-mozilla plugin while it does work beautifully doesn't give you in browser controls. If anyone has a work around for this please do share!

I can confirm this script works in Chromium Browser too if you're so inclined.
