Printer printing content high on page!

hello,

i am currently using an HP Laser Jet P2055dn via a windows network of school. The printer prints my assignments, but it prints them about an inch or more up the page to the point where the header is being cut off a little bit by the printer, and not being printed. I tried using the test page to see if it had any problems, but it prints out normally centered on the page which baffles me. Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance.

what program are you trying to print from?
did you try a different program, maybe try a text editor like gedit?
did you check the printer settings for page size, print margins, ...
are you using cups, samba, a network printer ?

petty much need more info to to try and offer any tips

Sorry for the lack of information, and late reply. I am trying to print from Libreoffice Writer, Im using my schools network printer via samba. All of the margin settings are set to zero, but there is still a correct margin on the left and right of the document when printed. im going to use the text editor when i have a chance next. I have tried printing pictures via image viewer, and have noticed the same effect.
