Online Accounts

So F16 is looking very nice so far. IMO, big improvement on 15. The first thing that I've noticed that doesn't seem to work is the online accounts. The release notes say that after a Google account is added then I should have email, calendar, contacts etc. in evolution. This hasn't happened. I've also noticed I have to manually set myself to available each time I log in.

Anyone else seen these?

Be interesting to see if anyone has it working. I've thought about adding the account manually to Evolution but not sure if that'll work.

Re: Online Accounts

I just gave it a go, I use Thunderbird so Evolution was not setup. At first I had nothing, but once I switched contacts on (from within online account settings), it worked fine. Still a possible bug, I'm not sure.

It's definitely a bug. It should automatically do this for you. I'm now trying to do the same. For me, the calendar is the most useful part, is that working for you?

Sadly no, it seems to be working locally but not syncing with Google.

Ah, I've managed to get it working by adding it manually using both Evolution's built in method, plus this method http://gcaldaemon.sourceforge.net/ which is also quite nice.

One issue I've thought of, Evo is going to have to be running for all this to work I think (will try without in a moment). Also the contacts import is pretty rubbish. Only the email addresses (no names, phone numbers etc have imported for me).
