Xilinx ISE (iMPACT) crashes without error message

Hi

I am trying to run Xilinx ISE. It seems to run well but when I try to open iMPACT which is basically another software called by ISE it opens but then crashes without error message. I can also invoke iMPACT directly in the shell. It crashes also here and it doesn't output anything.

Is there a way I can find out more about this crash? Any commands I could use? Without error message I am really lost as I don't know where to start looking for the error and I can't even google for it.

So, I see that not many of you may have experience with the Xilinx tools I mentioned above but asking in a very general way: What options do I have to find out what might cause a problem in Fedora? I checked the output on the console (there is none) and checked the dependencies on libraries with ldd (all dependencies are met). What other possibilities do I have?
