Fan and CPU behaviour - Fedora 15 - laptop Asus K52F

Hello All,

I am having an Asus laptop K52F - Intel CPU P6100 Dualcore and an Intel integrated video card; there is a particular issue with Fedora and Opensuse kernels on my laptop; after 2-3 hours of runtime, the laptop's fan starts to behave like the laptop is on battery power - the main fan is throttle down and then up, there is no regular time, nor this is linked to the apps that are in usage at a point of time; this wouldn't maybe an issue if this wouldn't be coupled with the CPU power being also regulated by the kernel as it is on battery power only; there is a lag whenever i open a new application or trying to operate with the Gnome shell in general. This is very annoying after some time...

This issue is not present in Ubuntu or Mandriva though; but i get it also on Pardus. I like Gnome Shell and Fedora 15 has the best implementation so i try to understand what is the issue and how i can address this effectively.

Thank you so much for your help !

Re: Fan and CPU behaviour - Fedora 15 - laptop Asus K52F

Anyone ?? This is becoming really annoying; the CPU power is leveld down and i have 2-3 seconds lag for each application launch; having a dual-core is not reflected in the performance; this is the only problem that i have so far with fedora....

thanks again..
