Disabling console shutdown/reboot messages

Hello!
There are few posts discussing how to disable console messages during shutdown and/or reboot. See for example threads: 1394353, or 174269.
I am using Fedora 15 64-bit on my ThinkPad laptop for a month or so. Recently, it started to briefly flash console messages during shutdown/reboot. That did not happen before. I wonder, why now? And, more importantly, how can I stop that?

Thanks in advance,
PM

PS: Wonder why I cannot include two links for the above treads? It denied me. I have long experience in Debian/Ubuntu distros, and forums there never complained for such things.

Re: Disabling console shutdown/reboot messages

Hi

You probably could not include links as your new to the forum, so welcome on board

Cant tell you WHY you see them, but i can tell you that it doesnt matter, the 'blueish' screen on start/shutdown is just decoration so it looks nicer.

But how to 'disable' the flashing, meaing, how to keep the un-/-load screen on dont see the console message at all, no idea, sorry.
