F15 and Plextor PX-B920SA

Hi

Hope someone can come up with an answer to this cos I'm stumped and I may have grey hairs but I'm no guru, just a competent fiddler.
I'm trying to get F15 onto a Dell Precision 490, Xeon 5110 1.6GHz, 4GB RAM etc. The bugbear is the blu-ray player. With F15 installed and working, fit the Plextor and restart, F15 takes an age to boot and eventually drops through to
Enter root password for diagnostics or
Ctrl D to....
Entered root and examined boot.log but could find no errors.
As this was a new install I bit the bullet and re-installed with the drive in place, booted and installed from the drive without any issues, rebooted and went through the initial config screens right up to the date screen at which point, click Forward to go to the Hardware profile screen and absolutely nothing, the system hasn't hung because I can change dates and times but refuses to go onto the next screen.
Can anyone offer a way forward
BTW the drive works fine under Win7 and is connected to SATA3

Cheers
Bob

Is AHCI enabled your BIOS?

Hi Tyler

Yep AHCI is on. On a (maybe unconnected) note, have since installed Centos6 and all is working fine.

Cheers
