map extra mouse buttons?

I need to do something very simple, I have two small buttons on the side of the mouse, I want one of them to do go to upper workspace (like CTRL ALT UP) and the other one go to lower workspace (CTRL ALT DOWN).
I used to do this using compiz but now with Gnome3?

Re: map extra mouse buttons?

Did you try the mousewheel yet?
On LXDE i just click an empty spot of current workspace, mousewheel to next one.

Thanks but that's still too many moves, besides I usually work with my apps maximized.

Re: map extra mouse buttons?

I have a similar problem: I would like to make the buttons on my graphics tablet run commands or trigger key presses in Gnome 3...
