Firmware missing for wireless connection

Fedora OS: 2.6.38.8-35.fc15.i686
NOtebook: Compaq Presario V3424TU
Wireless connection is not enabling and it is showing "Firmware missing"

Any one please help regarding this, as I need to connect wireless to help my final year project.

For most readers, the computer model number is not useful for a problem like this. Post something about the wireless adapter. One of these terminal commands may help somebody who doesn't own a Compaq Presario V3424TU think of something for you to do.
