--- EDIT ---
Everything started working perfectly all of a sudden. No need for help
-------------
Hello,
I know there's quite a few threads about wifi problems in F15 here, but none of the remedies suggested seem to work for me. Perhaps I've done something wrong, I'm quite new to Fedora.
My problem is that my wifi became really really slow all of a sudden last night. Today I've been trying to fix the problem, and right now wifi doesn't seem to work at all (pages load for a while but don't open). My wired connection is flawless.
This is what I've tried so far:
- set
network.dns.disableIPv6 from "false" to "true" in Firefox
- added public DNS'es in IPv4 settings
-
edited /etc/rc.local
- updated my kernel to 2.6.40
- disabled 801.11n mode
Here is what iwconfig gives me:
Code:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bg ESSID:"paellota"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437 GHz Access Point: 50:67:F0:CA:09:E0
Bit Rate=54 Mb/s Tx-Power=15 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=-29 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:11 Missed beacon:0
I'm using a Dell Inspiron N5110 (15R) with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030.
Very grateful for help.
