After F17 split /sys/fs/selinux missing

Anyone else got the box unbootable with "mount failed for selinuxfs on /sys/fs/selinux: No such file or directory"? What is the fix?

Obviously it needs a new kernel, which /sys contains the required directory. However, to do that you 1. need the kernel, 2. must install it while in rescue environment.

I'd like to find an easy way to knock selinux off for a couple of reboots until I get the new kernel installed.

Edit grub at boot and add selinux=0 to the kernel line

The selinux=0 was always there. All that line does is disabling the SElinux LSM. In theory the userland is supposed to pick on that and not doing the wrong thing like mounting selinuxfs, but in this case clearly it's broken and ignores the fact that SElinux is disabled.

this might be a dumb question, but why test or use F17 now? when its just a "baby" state, your better off testing F16 which has features to be tested unlike F17
