Fedora 15 x64 meld 1.5.1

Hi there,

to upgrade to Fedora 15 I did a clean install. I am using Gnome3 as my desktop.I have installed Meld. However if I go into preferences>editor the following four display preferences are visible but greyed out and I can not find a way to activate them:

Insert spaces instead of tabs
Show line numbers
Show white space
Use syntax highlighting

I have tried reinstalling Meld and python and pygtk2 but it has change nothing. I have tried running meld as root and still nothing changes. Apart from these four options everything works correctly with the program. Am I missing something obvious or should I file this as a bug?

Thanks

Thumbs up [SOLVED] Re: Fedora 15 x64 meld 1.5.1

I tried this on Fedora 16 with Meld 1.5.2 though, but I think it should work with your version as well. You need to install some extra packages.

Code:
sudo yum -y install pygtksourceview libgtksourceviewmm libgtksourceviewmm-devel libxml2 libxml2-devel
After installing, restart Meld. Then go to Edit > Preference. Now you can see those options enabled.

Hello Aks,

thank you for your solution. Installing the pygtksourceview package worked for me.
