Systray Icons

All the applications that I have that minimize to system tray (deluge, gnote) show the system tray icon as the messenger icon that empathy uses. This is in Fedora 15 and Gnome-Shell 3.02. The status messages that I get from other programs show up correctly, its just on programs that minimize to the tray. This is not icon theme specific, as I have tried several others including the default. I tried disabling all the shell extensions that I installed, and that didn't fix it either.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Edit: Any now for some reason they are all displayed as the gnote icon after I reloaded the shell.

Re: Systray Icons

Same problem here. See: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=163178
Either ignore it and wait for an updated driver or use noveau instead..

Re: Systray Icons

Anybody know of a solution for this yet? This problem has been around for about a month now and I'm surprised more people aren't complaining about it. Is it only affecting a few people, or everyone running akmod-nvidia driver?

Re: Systray Icons

This systray is just dysfunctional as it is anyway, with the enlarging and shrinking names to the applets. So i guess people have adapted to looking for the names.

Re: Systray Icons

Yeah the tray is the one area that I really don't like about Gnome shell. Everything else I'm quite impressed with. I actually wouldn't mind getting rid of the system tray completely, as long as notifications would still work. Anyone know if that's possible?
