gnome-do: launch shortcut and preferences don't work (Fedora 15 / Gnome 3)

I've just installed gnome-do (yum install gnome-do). I can launch it via the activities-window and the gnome-do window appears as it should. But I can't access the preferences-window via the dialog which appears when you click on the triangle on the upper right corner of the gnome-do window. When I click on preferences, gnome-do just disappears! The other entries (e.g. About) work BTW, only Preferences doesn't.

But this is not that bad because I can also access the preferences with the Configuration Editor. There I tried to change the shortcut to start gnome-do. I tried out different combinations, but none works...

Any idea how to fix this?

BTW: If anyone knows alternatives to gnome-do (I mainly want to start google searches and if possible self-defined websearches), feel free to post them.

Setup: Fedora 15 with Gnome 3 on Macbook 4 (dualboot)

I can't help with your error, but I do know of alternatives to gnome-do

You can use synapse. I have recently switched to it from gnome-do. It is so much better, you can do web searches from it as well. It works a little differently from gnome-do, but it is much better.

Thanks for the tip! Synapse looks pretty awesome. I'll kick gnome-do from the computer. I hope I'll be able to customize Synapse a little, but at least I'm able again to start Google searches without switching to Firefox first.

BTW I found an article with google written shortly after the release of gnome 3 (about it's pros and cons) and the gnome-do-preferences problem is also mentioned there, so I'm not the only one with this problem.

So I'm not worried about gnome-do anymore, but if anyone has other alternative programs, please post any suggestions!
