No support for nVidia Geforce4 (akmod-nvidia-96xx) on Fedora15 ?

Fedora15 is running on the HP TC1100 .. but no without nvidia support

At startup I get the message .. GNOME 3 Failed to Load

Gforce4 was working properly under Fedora14 with akmod-nvidia-96xx

Can't find akmod-nvidia-96xx under Fedora15.

This work's so far.. but no openGl at the moment and compiz shows no border

What I did..
#yum install akomd-nvidia
#rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf (It does not work with this file .. why??)
download driver from Nvidia http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux-d...19-driver.html

Install Driver..
#init 3
#sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.19-pkg1.run
#rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf (It does not work with this file .. why??)

Nvidia doesn't support your card with the Xorg version in F15 (that's why there is no akmod-nvidia-96xx package).

So I'm in a trap now?
No way back to Fedora14 .. without a new install ..right?
Is there a chance as Nvidia is going to support my card?

nouveau is install by default in Fedora 15, so boot the live CD and give it a try.

If this is "nouveau" .. then it works. But there is no openGL support and i'm unable to turn the screen 90°
It seems as I have to hope as the original driver gets compiled for fedora 15

If "nouveau" could handle those features I would stick to "nouveau". I hate "blackbox"-librarys not simple to debug.
