Cannot log into Fedora 15 after installation

I just installed a fresh version of Fedora 15. During the install and first login, I failed to create a default user account. Afterwards, I tried to log in as root and then create the account, but that fails. I assume Fedora 15 does not allow root logins in the GUI because of security.

Is there a way to solve this without installing again? Is there a trick that will allow me to create a default account? If not, is there a way to edit the security to allow a root login?

I am open to any suggestions.

That's correct.

When you are at login screen, hit ctrl+alt+f2. Login with root.

useradd zeigleml

ctrl+alt+f1, login with zeigleml (if it does't appear, reboot).

I too have the same problem but installed fedora 15 on VMWare Workstation 7.1.3 where I couldn't open any terminal window just by typing ctrl+alt+f2 or f3 something...can someone please help me out..Thanks in advance

Hey I just installed Fedora 15 and am having the same problem. I tried to do what you said but cannot figure out. Could you please explain.
I made the username but when I go to login with that username it still does not work.
