Well just did a fresh install of f15 and having huge issues with wireless. Using the proprietary broadcom-wl drivers (only ones that work for this card) it appears whenever I try to turn wireless radio on using NetworkManager it immediately shuts off. At first I thought it had to be a driver issue, but low and behold I can connect to wireless using the command line without using network manager. You can actually see the radio light on the laptop turn on then off right away when using networkmanager.
Out of desperation I installed wicd which works great except for the fact that the wicd dbus is not automatically starting on boot
. One thing to note that there is no wicd script in init.d which is kind of odd. Also I heard selinux can cause problems with wicd so I disabled it to be sure that wasnt causing any conflicts.
I would really like to get either of these solutions working properly!! Any help is appreciated!!
