Problem with Windows network browsing (FC15)

Hi there,

After a few years away using Ubuntu and getting fed up with their counter-intuitive updates (e.g. Unity) I've decided to come back to Fedora.

Everything is working great and I'm really liking FC15 beta, all except one little problem with Windows network browsing, it doesn't work at all.

Edit: I get this error:

Unable to mount location
Failed to retrieve share list from server

Could anyone explain the process to get this up and running in FC15 beta?

TIA

I too would like to know what the correct solution to this issue is. I'd be that if I installed samba and changed the workgroup to my workgroup name that it would work but I suspect that it's not the right thing to do.

Solved, it's the default firewall, turn it off and it works.

I think it's not so smart to disable the firewall. You should allow "samba " and "samba client" then, I think, your problem is solved.

If it wasn't sat on an internal network, behind a Cisco firewall, maybe so.
