recover missing files that were "cut" not deleted

Hi,

I cut and paste files today and they seemed to have gone missing or got deleted in the process. How do I recover them?

As a first guess I would think they are sitting on a clip board somewhere, but I can't find any information anywhere about fedora14 and the default clipboard that ships with it.

Thank you,

SeaWeed

getting an attitude problem isn't going to get you any help with your problem in here.

This forum is other users helping out users with problems. They do have other things to do with their lives, too, and most just jump in here when they have a chance.

I happened to know the answer to your question but instead I'm taking this forum and shoving it up your a** and keeping the answer to myself.

Wow those five hours between the original post and the toys being thrown out of the pram must've seemed like days.
I think everyone deserves a second chance (ok not everyone) so a grovelling apology and an ounce of patience just might get you the answer you're looking for.
This isn't the mikrosoft helpline, the people on this forum who can help are not waiting with baited breath for the next post, the fact is we all live in different time zones, have (mostly) got other things to do and have differing areas of expertise.
