Can I do an install by copying another hard drive?

I would like to do a mirror.(I guess) Copy the contents of one hard drive to another, achieve bootability, and use it.

Why? Anaconda won't install on my drive. Long story short, I get this error message: "This device may need to be reinitialized. REINITIALIZING WILL CAUSE ALL DATA TO BE LOST" So I can't use the drive. I'm trying to find a simple work around.

I've filled out some bug reports, but who knows how long that'll take to be resolved. Anyways, I'd like to use the drive.

Is this possible? How would I copy the bootloader?

I do have as one goal to employ ABRT's services, I have reason to believe that the SATA driver is partly to blame.

Can you take the hard drive that you want to copy and place it in
the computer you wish to run it on when cloned to see if it works.
Then if you can then make an image of it with the "dd" command and install
it to the hard drive you have in mind. The hard drive will have to be as
large or larger than the one you are copying.
