Icon themes
So, i really like this icon theme, but whenever i go to extract it, it gives me an error, and thus i try to copy it into the icon directory, but some of the icons dont work. Says it cant find a file in the archive, but it shows up.... Faulty file maybe? Dont get it. Anybody know of a fix? It says this theme wasn't made distro-specific, so anybody know how i can make it work in FC2 (and hopefully keep it working for FC3)?
It sort of works, but for some reason it wont extract correctly, and some of the icons dont automatically associate like they're supposed to. Theres a folder called NIX_Addicts i think thats causing the problem, but i dont know. ANy help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know. I've not downloaded that one. However, I have gotten a few that did not seem to work. I've found its hit and miss with a few of them. Plus, they may not be packaged correctly. If they are not you may have to manually extract them to a file and then copy the entire file over to /usr/share/icons and then install using "theme manager."
If you want a cool icon theme try Gartoons. d3 works pretty well.

You know what .... I'll bet this is not a theme. Its just icons that you can use one by one.
After you extract them put them in a folder and the right click on an icon you want to change and click properties and then the icon button. Then you can browse to the directory where you extracted them and select a new one.
See if that works.

It is an actual theme, you can select it from the themes menu, and from waht i understand it is meant to be a theme. I can manually select the icons, its just a pain. From what ive read, it seems to be a theme, thats why i dont get it.

Sorry guys not all themes work under fedora. I had similiar issue and what I contacted the person that created theme and told it would only work with certain distros.
Which I believe is that case here.
