mac intel: booting linux (fedora) from usb media

Hi friends,
i would like to know if is possible to boot an fedora core 14 iso from usb stick or usb hd;

i've used livecd-iso-to-disk --format --efi etc, etc..

rebooting macosx and pressing alt key the linux boot partition is detected,

it boot, but the image screen remains to grub, though I feel charging the operating system (and the shift key remains operational)

could i use FC15 instead?
