Black Screen at Reboot

Hi everyone, I have a problem trying to install Fedora 14 on my Asus A7j.
I tried to install Fedora using all options available (Use all Space, Custom, ecc.) but no one is with no problem!!!
Well, the PC is able to install Fedora14, but at the end (when the program of installation says "Reboot"), I click it, the PC tries to reboot but It crashes (I see only a black screen), before showing the Fedora Logo.

I've taken that HDD with Fedora and I've put it in my Dell Inspiron. All perfect !!!
Why are'nt I able to run Fedora on Asus A7j ???

Thank you very much

Re: Black Screen at Reboot

If your computer is a new model, you might try Fedora 15 Beta. I had the same experience with F14 on my brand new X220. F15 Beta worked ok though.

Re: Black Screen at Reboot

¡Hola!

Recently I had a similar problem, but I should get a black screen putting grub>. I had more OS installed but I could not access to them.

Finally I could install again F14 preparing the partitions previously. I used an F14 Live CD and cfdisk for /boot, swap and / partitions.

See this solved thread in General Purpose Forum, untitled "F14, GParted and lvm2". I think that the last post with the solution maybe can help you.

Saludos

Re: Black Screen at Reboot

Thank you very much !!!
I'm not able to send any command to GRUB. I see all the instruction of the startup, after that I see a black screen. I try to press "e" but It is not the right way.

Thanks again
Simone
