    minitube

    Hello
has anyone else got minitube http://flavio.tordini.org/minitube and got it to play videos correctly ?
I have used the pre built binary and built it from source but keep getting the same problem, the video's colour is all wrong i.e maxxed out, the brightness way too much.
The video is stored in /tmp and can be played with any media player perfectly from there
Having just reread my post I'm guessing minitube itself is the problem

    Re: minitube

For you who use minitube, version 1.5 is in rpmfusion-free-updates-testing:
    Code:
    yum update minitube --enablerepo=rpmfusion-free-updates-testing
to get it working again, will take a week or so before it hit the updates

    Hello
thanks for the heads up, unfortunately it doesn't fix the problem but I can still watch the video in /tmp without the colour/brightness problems

    Re: minitube

I am sorry for bringing this up again, but I haven't been able to use minitube at all!
I am using Fedora 16 on a Dell XPS.. I downloaded minitube from the repo and it is not working at all! I think I have all the dependencies met, but when I start it, it shows video for 3 seconds then it stops..

What could be the cause? If you need add info, just ask me.

    Re: minitube

Hi, you need to be using phonon-backendgstreamer (if you are on gnome you already have this) and you also need gstreamer-plugins-{good,bad,ugly} installed.

    Re: minitube

just one more folk here with minitube crashing. I'm running Fedora 17 using XFCE for the most part. I have phonon-gstreamer installed and all the plugins.
