Incorrect hard drive space

I recently installed the Fedora 15 alpha on my macbook. The installation went pretty smoothly and everything seems to work, however, it is showing that I only have 4GB of HD space when I actually have 60GB. I used the full space on the hard drive when installing so the only thing that should be on there is Fedora. Has anyone else seen this issue or have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Laptop specs can be found here: http://www.blackmacbook.com/specs/

Re: Incorrect hard drive space

I was able to find out what was wrong thanks to scott32746! It looks like the use entire disk option automatically creates a separate /home partition that is 4GB. I went ahead and reinstalled, but made sure to check the partition layout this time. It is definitely adding the /home partition itself, but deleting the partition took care of the problem.

Is this what it is supposed to be doing? It seems like a strange default option to me.

Re: Incorrect hard drive space

The 56GB is going to / (root) and 4GB to /home right?

Re: Incorrect hard drive space

Yes, that is the norm.
Users use there home directory as a storage place. that is one reason /home is large
By delete the partition you put home under / . Be careful not to make / full by alot in /home/USER_ID.
