Connect to server

Where the heck is "connect to server" on this new fangled contraption called Fedora 15 Beta?

Re: Connect to server

In the search box/dialog type connect and you should see an icon for it ( used to to connect to my NAS box and it worked)

Very handy, thanks.

Things like this make it seem certain to me they could have a Places overview along with the windows and apps one. Its not intuitive, to me at least, to have to type connect to bring up a Connect to server option where is a Places overview would have you poking around to see what options are there.

Well to be fair I guess I did start type home to bring up nautilus.

Checking again at least sub folders come up now when you type documents etc. That's a big improvement. Also Removable Media comes up when you type media now -- (Seems it just the settings dialog for media). Seems the updates are making a big difference along the way.

Re: Connect to server

ok so where do you set the default applications in the gnome 3 shell. I saw it once, but forgot where it was I need to change default email to thunderbird, and get rid of that evolution crap, but can't seem to find it again.

Re: Connect to server

thanks all changed now. An update the other day reset all the changes I had made to my settings, and I'm just now getting them fixed back again
