problems playing videos in full screen

Hi,
iḿ using asas eee 1101ha which uses poulsbo video adapter.
im on f14.
when i tried playing videos on vlc on full screen ,iit skips frames.
ive tried on mplayer and it crash saying no xvideo support for your video card.

ive tried changing output drivers on both players and they all either not working or got perfoance problems.
ive got poulsbo driver installed
any suggestions?

hey, you tried playing the file in vlc or parole?

ive tried vlc,
parole i didnt try, you think it can solve the problem?
its not a matter of codec?

parole usually works with all formats? have you installed autoten(fedoraplus) ? if not search for dangermouse user or autoten home page.

My f14 and poulsbo needed the video output changing to x11 (but .. acer 751)

VLC Totem and Parole are all gstreamer based, in terminal type ..
gstreamer-properties
.. brings up a gui to test and change video output

Also .. in VLC tools>preferences>video allows similar

in terminal ..
mplayer -vo help
.. lists possible video ouput settings

in terminal ..
mplayer -vo x11 ~/my_test_video.avi
.. plays a video with eg video output x11

mplayer -fs ~/my_test_video.avi
.. will test full screen
