ALSA - HP DV7 41f50EA - Device Failback

Hi All,

Not to worry I'm not going to simply moan that my sound doesn't work and leave you to verbally bash me, I've been trying to find a solution most of the night without success, so this is my last port of call.

Basically HP-DV7. There are a few forum posts about sound compatibilities, although nothing that seems to have fixed mine. I've done an alsa-info.sh run and the results can be found

The device is detected but once KDE starts it reports it's not usable and fails back to default.

I did try to work out which HD-Audio-Model it was from the list but got abit confused. Currently I have added

options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv5

to the /etc/mod-probe.d/dist-alsa.conf file.

Anyone got any further guidance?

Many Thanks
Matt
