Minor FC2 Sound Issue

I'm having a small but irritating sound issue in FC2 that I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with.

FC2 detected my SoundBlaster Live! without problem; sound works pretty much perfectly. However, upon starting up Gaim, I noticed a weird click/pop sound at the end of each sound effect (when someone logs in, etc.). I'm quite sure this issue is system-wide, and not specific to Gaim, but I'm not at home at the moment, so I can't double-check.

It's not a huge deal, but I'd like to get rid of it if possible. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
