Lost 3d Acceleration

After the recent kernel update I re-installed Nvidia drivers but somehow my 3D acceleration is gone and this is the error I get from glxgears

[me@fedora ~]$ glxgears

I wanted to check if someone else has experienced this, otherwise I might have to re-install my system this weekend and try akmod or kmod nvidia drivers, since the last time I tried uninstalling Nvidia binary drivers and replacing them with kmod drivers I lost 3d acceration until I did a clean install.

I have the same problem on F15. I performed clean installation, configured proprietary NVidia driver and this is what I get:

Any ideas where to begin with the solution?
