Change the permissions on your printer to

Group : Everyone
Print : Allow

In Winxp

I just resolved this for our new file server running Fedora 5 x86 64 . It is now also our print server for the first time rather a Windoze box. Running the latest Samba package (3.0.23a) .

Solution was to put "use client driver = yes" in the [printers] share section of smb.conf. Then do a 'service smb restart' .

Note I could print, but the status in the windows printer dialog always said "access denied, unable to connect" until I added the above line.

Hope this helps someone else.
