Scribus 1.4.0 RC1 not in updates-testing

It was released a couple days ago, and the Scribus team always sends new releases to Fedora, but on my Fedora 14 x86_64 computer I can't find it in updates-testing:

# yum install scribus --enablerepo=updates-testing

I can always download the RPM and install it directly, but I prefer to use yum. Did the updates-testing people misplace it? Or did the Scribus team forget to send it to Fedora?

The maintainer of Scribus must be busy at the moment and did not get the chance to package it as rpm. Wait a few time because the rebuilt can fail due to some minor changes.

Also you can do local update with yum

yum localupdate /path/scribus.x.x.rpm

I'd just as soon not do a local update. Doesn't that mean that Software Update won't check for newer versions?

The Scribus developers sent out an RPM, so it should be just a matter of putting it in the repository. At least, that is my understanding. I recall when 1.3.9 was released it was in updates-testing within a few hours of the announcement from the Scribus team. That's why I was worried that it might have been overlooked, or perhaps the Scribus team messed up and failed to send it out.

Some members of the Scribus community have asked me to test some things in 1.4.0 RC1 on Fedora 14, so not having it is holding up the parade. Otherwise I'm a very patient guy and I know things sometimes take time, especially in the open source world.
