Does Fedora 11 is available with any low repository ?

hi,
i am having a system with configuration vortex86DX 800Mhz processor
with 512MB RAM. i am able to install only fedora 11.

i am installing few things which i require selecting the customize now options at the time of fedora 11 installation. even though i select few(not even 100) i can see 670 packages are getting installed(this i can see at the time of installation ).

i think the default repository is coming with some packages.

so my question is,
how can i decrease the default repository to minimal packages
so that my system will run faster, and unncessary packages will not be present, less burden on the system.

Does Fedora 11 is available with any low repository ?
or
could any one suggest me what to do?

Thanks in advance
newbie........

Distrowatch has a Linux distros selection for low specs computers, that they call `old computers' selection. I have Absolute Linux installed on an ancient Dell Latitude cpi a-series laptop and it (kinda) rocks! Try a few and decide which one is for you

These are dependencies and they are installed so that the applications you want function correctly. There is not much you can do about dependencies. You could search for alternative, lighter applications or use a lighter Fedora spin (for example, LXDE spin). As giulix said, special distributions aimed at lower spec hardware exist and are another option.
