Libre Office
Hi,
Has anyone successfully installed Libre Office on Fedora 14? Is there anything special that I need to do for a successful installation?
Regards,
John...

Download the RPM (tarball) here: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
Unpack with (from wherever you downloaded it):
tar xzvf LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz
then install with:
su
rpm -Uvh ...
V
P.S. I see now that the help stuff is packaged separately (en_US): http://download.documentfoundation.o...m_en-US.tar.gz

Yes. Dependency checking for the 51 libraries.

I haven't read the help file because I'm fine with Open Office for now. Glad you got it working, so apparently the dependencies weren't a problem for you.

Re: Libre Office
I got Libre Office along with MS Fonts successfully installed, thanks for all of your feedback. BTW: Libre Office looks a lot like Open Office.

That's cause it's basically the same thing with different branding. LibreOffice is effectively a fork of OpenOffice.
