Creative Zen MX not detected

I installed Fedora 14 today, and have most things setup. However, I am not able to get my Creative Zen MX working correctly.
After plugging the device into my computer, it gets automatically mounted ok, and I can browse it, however running mtp-detect gives the following:

ibmtp version: 1.0.3

Listing raw device(s)
No raw devices found.

Gnomad2 also does not find the device.

I would like to get this setup so I can sync my songs / playlists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Creative Zen MX not detected

Hi,

I have the same (or similar problem) on ubuntu.
Using a new creative zen mx, the following happens:
- the device connects with laptop and an icon appears, but
- rhythmbox does not recognize it
- the command "mtp-detect" doesn't find the device:
"No raw devices found"

I have the feeling that this is a firmware issue. The new firmware somehow troubles linux...
I had an old creative zen device and there was no problem..
It really annoys me as I don't want to use windows for my music library (I really like rhythmbox)!!!

Does anybody has a solution to this..?
Thanx
