Mic settings

Hey all,

I am brand new to Fedora (been using ubuntu for some time though). I installed the 64 bit KDE spin. And i must say that i am very pleased with it, except for one thing.
When i launch skype i am unable to get my mic working. I googled around for some time and found a suggestion to paste these 2 lines in a terminal:

amixer -c 0 set 'Input Source' 'Digital Mic'
amixer -c 0 set 'Digital Mic' 20dB

No idea why but, voila, my mic works like a charm. The things is that after a reboot i have to paste those 2 lines again.
So my question is, is there a way to make Fedora remember the changes so that i dont have to paste into terminal after every restart ? Its not a big issue, but would be nice not having to remember it.

Another minor issue is the kernel crash saying "Your bios is broken" that many other HP users seem to get. To be more specific, here is what abrt says
Package: kernel
Latest Crash: Sun 06 Feb 2011 11:14:33 PM
Command: not_applicable
Reason: WARNING: at drivers/pci/dmar.c:633 warn_invalid_dmar+0x7d/0x8d()
Comment: None
Bug Reports:

Doesn't really bother me too much as it is only a 1 time thing after boot. But if any of you Fedora oracles know a fix to it i would love to hear it

Cheers

Re: Mic settings

Hey !

Cheers for the speedy reply.
I tried to paste the 2 lines in to that files you mentioned. However it didnt do anything. Atleast not something i have noticed. So the problem is still the same.

Would be happy to hear some more suggestions
