I don't want to sound nasty or anything, but there's a ton of material on installing here in this forum, as well as on Google. May I suggest using the "Search" function?

sorry you felt you had to say that but as i have never done this before and after searching through this and other forums i cant get the help that i need. i have a brand new hard drive in pc never been formatted and from the threads i have read i need to install win 2k server first on half the drive but from there i am lost as i said i am completly new to this and the threads i have looked at start talking in a language i dont understand. maybe when i get it running and with some patience and practice i will know more.

What exactly do you need help with? The question is too general. Here is a general answer:

1. Partition the drive how you want (part NTFS or Fat32, part ext2).
2. Install Windows on the NTFS (or FAT32) partition.
3. Install FC2 on the ext2 partition.

Done and done. The installers for both OSs will walk you through the installation. FC2 will detect the Windows install and add it to GRUB.

Is there something more specific that is problematic?

One addition to Optimistic I know it sounds very complicated, but use ext3 and not ext2.
