Thumbs up Not exactly a rant...

... but more like an awed review I just tried out F14 live on my USB stick and couldn't believe how fast it was! I even ran compiz on it and I couldn't do that on my last F13 hard disk install!

Does anyone know why F14 is so fast?

Heh, perhaps that was the trick--make one so bad that even a mediocre one looks good. (We're just kidding by the way.) Glad it's working for you

An aside to Tom (and complete thread hijack, for which I apologize)--that linuxquestions how to ask questions link you provided has gotten into the CentOS Faq and readme first pages after I posted links to it in about 10 answers, basically wearing Phil (one of the mods) down.
