Deal with a kernel panic

Hello,
Recently I experienced a lot of Kernel Panic.
How can I analyze why this happened?
In witch logs I can find the necessary information?

I'm running Fedora 14 ,kernel 2.6.35.9-64.fc14.x86_64

Thank You!

Re: Deal with a kernel panic

All the system logs are kept in '/var/log' with folders for various types of messages e.g '/var/log/X.org' for messages concerning X.

Re: Deal with a kernel panic

/var/log/messages should/may have the panic log.

If the system crashes due to the panic, the only log would be to the
console, which (unfortunately) is nearly useless with video consoles.

Re: Deal with a kernel panic

Run dmesg command from a console.

This assuming that you have control of the console and have not rebooted the machine. Kernel panic logs are usually not written to disk but into memory (kernel ring buffer), which is gone after reboot.

To my understanding he meant that the computer is not frozen...
and you can write on the console...
