Okay, so I've gone and installed the latest version of fwbuilder (3.0.7.2 or thereabouts is in the fc14 repos but I decided I needed to give myself more of a headache) and it's not letting me on the internet. I don't know if this is a bug in nm-dispatcher, or in fwbuilder, or if I just need to get my ruleset straight but whenever I run my compiled firewall this notice pops up in /var/log/messages:

Even accessing 192.168.0.1 (I run a router) seems to be beyond it, so I end up turning the iptables service back on and loading an earlier version of the list from before when it was imported into a format that fwbuilder could understand. I know it has nothing to do with the "Host OS" or "Firewall" settings boxes but I'd like to get this fixed without having to tear my hair out any further over it.
I've been explicitly specifying everything as "incoming" or "outgoing" when the importer loaded all my rules in as bi-directional, should I start there?
