That link was a dude for me at least. Is there a specific feature of ghost you are interested in? Backuping up a hard drive is rather simple but what features you want will determine which program you should use.

Are you wanting a full "bare metal" recovery feature, or the backup of a few key directories? Do you want the backup on your main drive, another drive in your system or on another computer altogether? If you can be much more specific, we can try to be much more detailed in our answer. Thanks

edit-The link seems to be working now and it does cover many different options, so it should be able to help you out.

http://partimage.org/ is great it comes on LiveCD with http://www.sysresccd.org/

when you are planning backup this way (entire partition) plan your system correctly. I mean separate system files from user data - to avoid data duplication. f.e. you will probably wan't to have /var and /home on different partitions as they contain only data thus no need to duplicate them. all you need is system files... I often use partimage if I am instaling new version - I can revert to old system instantly if I don't like new (as was with FC2 and RHL8.0)...

Acronis TrueImage 8 does it for me.

I think Ghost might support ext2, ext3 and Reiser3 now too (usually it's the Pro version not the Home one e.g. 9 instead of 2003).

This may o may not help, but is an alternative if you are just wanting a quick way to restore a fresh install of Fedora. Have you tried a Kickstart installation of Fedora? After you make your initial installation of Fedora a kickstart configuration file will be in the root directory. You can use that to install Fedora without any prompting. Honestly its is a very nice feature.

I'm not suggesting avoiding Acronis, it looks quite nice, but have you just tried a simple "dump" of your filesystem to a second hard drive? If you are using ext2 or ext3 it is a quick method of getting an exact sector by sector copy of your data from one place to another.

I get the system configured the way I want (ie samba, software, etc.) . The I use a knoppix live cd and partimage to backup to a different partition. This method has never failed me yet.
