Install Fedora without X11

Dear All

I would like to install Fedora 14 without any X11 components.
I need it only like router/firewall, so I do not want to install any unnecessary modules.
Also I do not want to download all DVD, but live media doesn't have any choices.

Is it possible to install Fedora without X11 desktop?

Thanks

Yes, it's quite possible. It's what I always do, even if I plan to add X later. Just choose minimal from the install options.

As I understood you right the minimal installation doesn't have X11 at all. Does it?

And does this option exist on live CD, or only on full Install DVD?

Thank you.

Re: Install Fedora without X11

You are correct, minimal will not include X.

I don't believe it's on the liveCD--I think the liveCD copies a predetermined image.

However, you can just download CD1, rather than downloading the entire DVD (or set of individual CDs.) If you choose minimal, it only requires CD1.
