Firefox 4 Beta7

can anyone reproduce this Bug?

1) using Gnome-Shell
2) using the Opensource Nvidia Driver
3) Open up Firefox4 and it'll Crash booting you back to GDM Login Screen

btw im on a LiveCD 29/11/2010 build

im using Eiphany an that works fine.


this Newer Gnome-Shell is much easier to use than the previous one.

strange Bug, i had that problem in previous LiveCDs i downloaded. Firefox would always Crash on me.


i also got 2 other Bugs

1 was i think Telepathy-glib


the other was a " gnome settings-deamon " issue on shutting down . it would shut down but Gnome saw it was still running in the background

g-s-d issue is known. I'm running current Rawhide with gnome-shell and nouveau and it doesn't crash when Firefox loads, no.

i'll download another LiveCD tomorrow an see if i can reproduce it, . if so i will Def Bug it in BZ

ok this build orks fine, 30/11/2010 iso . firefox doesnt do as i mentioned above. however i think i will wait for the beta before i install it an remove windows7
