Suggest me a light weight Fedora based distro

I want to introduce my friends to this wonderful OS . I am looking for a Fedora derivative that can be run on a Pentium iii with 256 mb of ram .

I will really appreciate your help . (I will prefer if the distro is easy to install and use )

thank you

Re: Suggest me a light weight Fedora based distro

Fedora has two official light-weight versions, based on the LXDE and Xfce desktops. Try them both and see which you like better. You can get them from Fedora, here.

Re: Suggest me a light weight Fedora based distro

The Fedora 13 release notes state
Minimum RAM for graphical: 384 MiB
Recommended RAM for graphical: 512 MiB
And Xfce on Fedora uses much the same amount of memory as Gnome. Even switching to Fluxbox only save about 40MiB, and that's far less user-friendly.

With only 256MiB, you have the choice (keeping to the beginner-friendly distros) of Puppy, Slitaz, or Crunchbang. They all come as live CDs, so you can try before you install.
