Re: Chinese MacBook Clone Comes Pre-Hackintoshed With Snow Leopard
Hmm it could very well either break on the hardware side or just break when Apple releases an OS update..
I wouldn't touch it, but I would happily Hackintosh my own (and probably will) just to do it and I'll know what I'm maintaining etc.

That's Ubuntu with a K
It's probably the same as most other machines since almost everything is made in China these days
I've toyed with the idea of Hackingtoshing this machine but I really wonder if it's really worth all the agro.

Finding all kinds of stuff in KDE... Pity I don't have enough time to explore it more. It's the pub's 2 year anniversary this weekend and I've got some special beers coming in tomorrow morning. Got to get the lines ready!
Hardly anything is made here any more. Off the top of my head I can only think of Sharp Aquos LCD TVs and Fujitsu laptops.

Re: Chinese MacBook Clone Comes Pre-Hackintoshed With Snow Leopard
Any idea where can it be purchased?
EDIT: Found this site, apparently from the manufacturer.

Boy!, I definitely want to go China to get a handful of "clones" (not only MBPs).
These guys are good...
Thanks,
Joe.

These two products are definitely made here for the domestic market at least. Their TV commercials make a point of pointing that out and the Fujitsu laptop we bought for my son recently had "Made in Japan" plastered all over the box

Re: Chinese MacBook Clone Comes Pre-Hackintoshed With Snow Leopard
Here is a question that just occurred to me...
Supposing I get hold of one of those MacBook Pro clones, and I take it to the US (for example), and someone notices it, am I liable to pay a fine, or get the item confiscated?
Say someone finds it in my travel bag at the airport?
Thanks,
Joe.
