any idea when this will hit rawhide and be made into a livecd iso?

You would need to ask the XFCE Package maintainer for that information.

does that means that i can easily tested xfce 4.8 by enabling rawhide soon?

what you could do is dualboot both F14 an F15 together .

Currently the new 4.8 framework breaks almost all the panel plugins and other goodies. We are going to wait a bit more and let that get sorted out before landing 4.7.x in rawhide.

So, I would say it will land in rawhide sometime in the next month or so.
