Sure a lot of moderators around here
There sure seems to be a lot of moderators on this forum--no complaints one way or another, just an observation.
How does one become a moderator anyway?

Actually, the term is admod (Administrator/Moderator).
To join the clandesdine cabal, you should PM or email ewdi or Ug. Ewdi is the forum owner. You have good rep and a positive attitude, so they may consider letting you join.
Just don't say or do anything controversial

I was asked. And afaik most of the others were also asked.
So I don't think, that sending a pm/mail to the admins will help.

That might be.
And of course you have to promise to be against superbnerd, and to persecute him for his opinion, wherever he goes (SCNR)

That's a good question, but he left his MSN E-Mail: http://fedoraforum.org/forum/member.php?u=37 , so you might contact him and ask, maybe he would be happy about this.

Spoken like a true admod, but imdeemvp is right, not all admods are bad, I hope
So if you can promise to oppose superbnerd at all cost, even though he is always right, you are fit to be an admod

Yes this and you have to thank ewdi every morning for leting you wake up and kiss a picture of Ug on a self-made altar. At the begining it is hard, but you get used to it

See how ilja became a mod?
We have a fairly high number of mods purely because of the fairly high number of challenging questions and stuff that appears on the forum. Myself or Ewdi normally appoint someone if we're impressed by them, they've stuck around the forum for a while and we have a niche to fill.
We haven't had the need to appoint anyone for a while. But we have got a few inactives who we're going to have to replace at some point in the future.

We need a lot of moderators to keep all you 10,000+ members in line.
If you want to be one, answer a lot of questions. Be as helpful as you can be. Bonus points if you can use the resources already available here and elsewhere. Make sense of the chaos of everybody's questions.

And, to really get on Ug's good side, post one-liners.
